Majestic Theatre Pomona will feature a surprise comedy double this week from Charlie Chase & Laurel & Hardy. Three of the funniest actors of the silent film era.

Charlie Chase was a master of the comedy of embarrassment, and he played either hapless young businessmen or befuddled husbands in dozens of situation comidies. His screen persona was that of a pleasant young man with a dapper mustache and ordinary street clothes; this set him apart from the clownish makeup and crazy costumes used by his contemporaries.

Laurel & Hardy appeared as a team in 107 films, starring in 32 short silent films, 40 short sound films, and 23 full-length feature films. They also made 12 guest or cameo appearances.. Two surprise comedy films from these comedians will be featured. Doors & bar open at 11am. Tea, coffee snacks & refreshments available.
